Households
Households meet in homes across Northhaven, most on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. They are not classes. They are the church at a scale where people can actually be known. New groups launch each September and January.
Ministries
Places to belong that are smaller than the sanctuary.
The Sunday room is where we begin. The rest of the week is where we become a people.
Infants through fifth grade
Harbor Kids
Harbor Kids runs during the 11:00 Gathering. Check-in is in the narthex. Our rooms are designed to be quiet enough to hear a child’s question. Background-checked volunteers, always two in a room.
Middle & high school
The Vine
The Vine gathers Sundays at 6:00 PM in the lower hall. We study scripture, eat badly, and practice hospitality. Summer includes a week of service in the city rather than a theme-park trip.
Hospitality
The Table
Every Thursday at 6:30 the warehouse hall becomes a dining room. No program, no ticket. Come early if you can chop onions. Stay late if you can wash a pan.
Outreach
Mercy
The Mercy pantry is open Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10–1. We partner with Harbor Shelter and the Northhaven schools for weekend meals. If you are in a pinch, email mercy@compassion.church — we will not make you perform your need.
Pastoral care
Care & Prayer
Stay in your seat after the blessing and someone will come to you, or walk to the side chapel. For longer care, Marcus keeps a list of trusted counselors and a benevolence process that is confidential.
